Bundle bungle: Peacock and Apple TV have formed one of streaming’s better value packs, but their confusing sign-up process needs work

As streaming video bundles go, the new partnership between Apple TV and Peacock seems as smart and value-packed as it gets — two middle-market SVOD offerings, both too pricey on their own, now jointly discounted nearly 40%.

As an existing customer of both SVODs, who bristles at paying NBCUniversal just one dollar less each month for Peacock Premium Plus ($16.99) than I do for Netflix, I enthusiastically signed up for the bundle through Apple TV.

However, the signup process proved … vastly confusing.
