Liberated to deploy “genre-based” skinny bundles following the epic collapse of the Venu Sports racket, DirecTV has been moving fast. In early January, it launched its $69-99-a-month, 40-channel MySports bundle, which includes ESPN, Fox Sports, TNT, the major broadcast networks, the NFL, NBA and NHL networks, and channels tied to the Big Ten, ACC and Southeastern Conference. And last week, DirecTV tacked on a $19.99-a-month add-on that delivers access to 37 MLB, NBA and NHL teams.
