YouTube pulls off immaculate reception from São Paulo, as the future of NFL television is now fully streamed

On October 26, 2015, around 15.2 million users logged onto Yahoo to see the Buffalo Bills play the Jacksonville Jaguars live from London’s Wembley Stadium. It was the first ever global live stream of a regular-season NFL football game.

On Thursday night, another benchmark was reached, with the San Diego Chargers kicking off the 2025 NFL season by beating the Kansas City Chiefs, in a game streamed live on YouTube from São Paulo, Brazil. With that, league’s entire schedule this year will be available over the top for the first time.
